Hi, I’m Ashley! I’ve been caring for animals since I was just 12 years old and have been working professionally in pet care since 2019. What started as a lifelong love for animals turned into a full-time passion and a business built on trust, compassion, and truly understanding pets as individuals. I take pet care very seriously. Continued education, safety, and professionalism are at the heart of everything I do. Every pet I care for is treated like family — with patience, structure, affection, and respect for their individual needs and routines. At home, I share my life with a sweet 12-year-old Shih Tzu (the pup featured in our logo!) and a playful 2-year-old cat who keep my days full of love, laughs, and plenty of fur. They are my why — and the reason I pour my heart into every single visit. To me, this isn’t just a business. It’s a responsibility I’m honored to take on for every family who trusts me with their pets.
Hans is my husband and has been a valued part of Game of Paws since 2019. From the very beginning, he’s shared the same commitment to reliable, thoughtful pet care and has grown alongside the business through hands-on experience. He has a calm, confident approach, especially when working with large dogs or those who need steady, structured handling. Hans is especially known for following instructions and routines exactly as provided — something our clients truly appreciate and trust. Families feel at ease knowing their pets are in consistent, dependable hands with Hans. His patience, reliability, and quiet confidence help pets feel comfortable and secure, and his attention to detail ensures every visit is handled with care and intention.
Hi, I’m Neno. I’m a 12-year-old Shih Tzu and the inspiration behind the logo you’re looking at right now. I run the house, supervise all guests, and take my leadership role very seriously (especially when food is involved). My favorite thing in the world is chicken — even though it definitely makes my stomach hurt. Do I regret it? Never. I’ve spent years making friends with all kinds of dogs who come through Game of Paws, and I like to think I’ve helped teach them the house rules: relax, be polite, and don’t forget snack time. I may be small, but I’m wise, confident, and proudly in charge. If I approve of you, you’re basically family.

Welcome to Game of Paws! 🐾
Game of Paws is the place where your pet will be treated like family! Our dog Nina has stayed with Ashley three times. Once was for ten days and another for fifteen days! We wouldn’t have kept her anywhere for that long unless we knew that she would be well taken care of and loved like one of their own! Game of Paws came through on both counts and we are happy for it! If you want to leave your pet with an experienced, skilled and loving person, look no further than Game of Paws!Oh, don’t be surprised if your pet loves it so much that she doesn’t want to come home!
Ashley was hands down amazing and I’m so lucky to have found her! She was so patient with our Achilles and gave him so much love while she stayed in our home. She treated our home with respect and communicated with me the entire stay-she went above and beyond while staying in our home, taking care of the house and our pets. I was very nervous having someone new around Achilles but she took her time to let him warm up to her and afterward
became quick best buddies! She made us feel so comfortable during her stay, updating me with lots of pics along the way-it truly is a relief to have her here and can’t wait to have her stay again!
Ashley was AMAZING and treated both my German Shepherd boys Rex and Ranger with so much love and care as if they were her own pets. She took the time to understand there needs and make sure routines weren’t broken. We received the cutest photos and made sure to keep us updated. Ashley stayed at our home and left it spotless! She really went above and beyond. My fiancé and I were out of town for our engagement? and she was thoughtful and sweet enough to leave us a little congratulations gift. I’m glad we were able to enjoy our time and not worry about our pups. We will definitely be booking Ashely again in the future!
Ashley took amazing care of our pup, Chance. He is a lover and cuddly boy with but requires a moment to warm up and is not a fan of other dogs. Chance seemed so happy and like his normal self in all the pics Ashley sent while we were away. She was extremely reliable, knowledgeable, and loving and allowed us to enjoy our time. We know he is in good hands!
Ashley’s house is my dog Romeo’s favorite place to hang out when we are out of town.We always leave feeling confident that he will be well taken care of and actually enjoy his stay while we are away. Ashley provides superb communication with regular pictures and updates on how Romeo’s visit is going (which we eagerly request and look forward to). Ashley also makes herself available to drop-off/pick-up Romeo at all hours of the day. I highly recommend you give Ashley the chance to provide the opportunity to show you why your pet will love you even when you have to leave the, in the best possible hands.
This is the first time we’ve ever had a sitter stay in our home and watch our boxer and cat. Ashley was very professional and kept us up-to-date on our pets sending numerous pictures of their interactions. My boxer can make quite a mess. I believe my house was cleaner when I came home then when I left it. We would definitely recommend Ashley and we’ll be using her again.
Was a little concerned leaving my new puppy, but had a travel obligation. From the moment she walked in, Ashley had our dog wagging his tail. Received regular updates and pictures. We knew Charlie was definitely in good hands. We came back to a happy dog. We will definitely be booking Ashley again. She’s a true doggie-sitting pro!
My Chi’s have been to many different pet sitters and pet boarding places… this was the most stress-free experience I’ve ever had! Excellent care, loving touch and getting pic updates was
a relief!
Ashley is the best! Her and Han got along great. I was gone all day yesterday and no issues at all. Ashley sent photos on their walks, in the house and near the dog park. Our first time with a petsitter and I feel completely at ease going away to see family next week in Massachusetts. So grateful I no longer need to board him. Stress free for both of us. Thank you Ashley
Game of Paws provided exceptional dog and house-sitting services for our two dogs, a Pitbull mix and a Cane Corso. They traveled to our California home for a week while we were on work travel, and their service was impeccable. We were particularly impressed by their:
· Professionalism: Reliable, communicative, and respectful of our home.
· Attention to Detail: They followed all care routines meticulously.
· Genuine Care: Our dogs were clearly happy, safe, and loved.
We now book them regularly for extended trips and consider ourselves very fortunate to have found them. They come with our highest recommendation!
Ashley and the Game of Paws team are wonderful! I had a big crowd to handle–5 cats– and the team took such good care of them! I got regular reports, and Ashley ensured that even my most shy cat got the care and loving he needed. Hans was awesome with helping coordinate logistics, and was also a big help in taking care of my kitty crew.
My house and my fur babies were safe in the very capable hands of Game of Paws.
Ashley was great with my dachshund. She was also very accommodating with a last minute booking when I was in a pinch. Great communication and very experienced with pet care.
Ashley is the best. My Harley Quinn gets excited when I go out of town and I tell her that Ashley is coming to pick her up. Ashley is the best I’m so glad I found her.
Yes. Game of Paws is fully insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance, giving you peace of mind while your pet is in our care.
We’re not a high-volume facility. We provide structured, home-style care with limited capacity to ensure individualized attention. No kennels, no overcrowding, just a calm, controlled environment, experienced handling, and care that follows your pet’s routine.
No. Boarding dogs are almost always with someone. Our home is occupied throughout the day, as household members either work from home or are retired. Your dog will have companionship, supervision, and interaction — not long hours alone.
It depends on the situation and the pets involved. Many dogs do great boarding alongside other dogs, and positive social exposure can be enriching and beneficial. However, if a dog is reactive, anxious, or if single-pet boarding is requested, we are happy to accommodate one pet at a time. Safety and comfort always come first.
We recommend bringing your pet’s food, medications, and any comfort items they’re used to, such as a favorite bed or toy. A full checklist will be provided before your stay
Yes. We are experienced in administering both oral and injectable medications, including insulin for diabetic pets. Medication instructions are followed carefully and exactly as provided.
We provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Update frequency can also be discussed during booking.
Because we are a small, home-style pet care business, we reserve time and space specifically for each pet. Deposits and cancellation policies help ensure we can continue offering high quality, personalized care to every family we serve.
We offer home-style boarding, which means your pet stays in a real home, not a kennel facility. There’s no overcrowding, no unnecessary stress, and no crate or kennel use unless it’s part of your pet’s normal routine or requested for comfort or safety
A 50% deposit is required to reserve all services, with the remaining balance due one week prior to the start of your service. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received. The remaining balance for all services must be paid one week prior to your pet’s stay or service start date. For last-minute or short-notice bookings, full payment is required at the time of booking to secure availability.
Extended care applies when services extend beyond the scheduled start or end time for boarding or house sitting,
This allows us to maintain proper supervision, staffing, and scheduling for all pets in our care.
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair as possible while also respecting our time and availability.
